I love that my daughter loves books. Unfortunately, her bookshelf has become really crowded lately and, being that children’s books are particularly thin, it almost encourages her to forget about the books instead of reading them. I decided I wanted to resolve this with a fresh idea, so I started researching for storage/display solutions and the answer was so simple!
I purchased several picture ledges from IKEA and chose to paint them a color to give it more character. I used regular satin finish spray paint from Home Depot; I recommend this or even the glossy kind because these shelves already come with a finish and it makes it impossible for regular wall or art paint to hold. It’s nice to set these up in a child’s bedroom or even in the hallway. This option also allows your little one to freely organize books and small things to their own liking!
